Cyberabad police have booked Raghava Constructions, a firm owned by Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s son Harsha Reddy, in an alleged large-scale land grab attempt case. The case was registered following a complaint by a property owner regarding an incident in Vattinagulapally near Hyderabad.
Key details of the case include:
The Incident: A complaint was lodged by one Pallavi Shah, who alleged that around midnight on November 29, a group of about 70 masked men with four JCB excavators trespassed on her three-acre land, demolished a gaushala (cowshed), and assaulted her staff.
Accused Parties: The First Information Report (FIR) names Raghava Constructions, along with five other individuals (Sudhir Shah, Avinav Shah, Akshay Shah, Amrit Shah, and Prashant) linked to New Gen Builders.
Allegations: The complainant alleged that the men mentioned the name of Raghava Constructions while carrying out the demolition and that the attempt was made despite existing court injunctions on the property. The land is estimated to be worth around ₹300 crore.
Minister’s Response: Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has distanced himself from the matter, stating that neither he nor his family’s firm had any role in what he described as a dispute between two individuals.
Counter-Complaint: A counter-complaint was filed by Akshay Shah, who alleged that Pallavi Shah and her associates were the ones who attempted to trespass on the land. Police have registered the case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including those related to criminal trespass, assault, damage to property, and theft, and further investigation is ongoing.
