SCHOOL SAFETY CLUBS IN CYBERABAD

Hyderabad, Namastheyellampally: SCSC in collaboration with the Cyberabad Police works toward creating awareness around personal safety & security leading to reduction of crime thereby enhancing safety and security in Cyberabad and IT corridor making Hyderabad eco-system a safe destination in the world.

SCSC accords highest priority to personal safety in general and women safety in particular.

Under the guidance of Mr. Stephen Raveendra, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad & Chairman-SCSC, the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) headed by its Secretary General Mr. Krishna Yedula has launched yet another initiative School Safety Clubs on Nov 23, 2022, to spread awareness and educate students about their safety.

The objective of the School Safety Club is to sensitize students on the various issues around personal and cyber safety, create awareness about the perils of drug use thereby paving way to ensure that they grow to be responsible citizens of the society.

The School Safety Club initiative will be chaired by the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad Mr. Stephen Ravindra, IPS. Convened by Ms. Shilpavalli, DCP-Madhapur and led by Ms. Padmapriya, Jt. Secretary, SCSC-Education Forum.

School Safety Clubs to be set up by all schools will drive awareness and activities under four pillars which are Physical Safety, Cyber Safety, Anti-Drug Campaign & Mental Health. The governance body of each safety club will include students, parents, teachers & Principal as stakeholders.

With a Vision “to build a nurturing and safe environment for students to grow and thrive”, so far School Safety Clubs have been launched in Phoenix Greens, Sanghamitra School-Nizampet, ZPHS Nizampet & Narsingi, Vidya Bharati High Schools-RC Puram, TSWRS COE School-Gowlidoddi, Birla Open Minds-Kollur, Githanjali-Kondapur, St.Ann’s & Ravindra Bharati at KPHB are few among 19 schools that have launched Safety Clubs in their schools and many more are in the pipeline.

Bhavan’s : Parents are very happy on the school’s initiative by brining Safety Clubs to BHEL township
TSWRS : Now students are confident and coming out to speak their issues with this initiative
Birla Open : Parents are very happy indeed as a very good initiative.
ZPHS Nizampet : Such initiatives are necessary as issues like missing cases to cyber-safety are round the
corner.
